Hello and Welcome to Inner Beam Counselling.
My name is Soha Daru and I am a Qualified Psychological Therapist/ Counsellor registered with the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I describe myself as an Integrative Psychotherapist/Counsellor, meaning that I draw from a range of therapies and approaches to suit your needs. Some of these are, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Person-centred therapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Mindfulness, Transactional Analysis, and Gestalt Therapy.
I have 6 years’ work experience counselling online and face-to-face in mental health centres and counselling organizations, including the NHS.
I have counselled people from various walks of life and those with a variety of presenting issues, for example, depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, grief, domestic violence, relationship issues, and so on.
I offer online and telephone Counselling as well as face-to-face Counselling in Leeds, U.K.
You can read more about me here.
At Inner Beam Counselling, I offer you a safe and confidential space to talk about how you feel and what is distressing you. I work with you, as an individual, and not only with your issue or ‘problem’.
You might prefer an exploratory approach to Counselling to talk about how you feel and help make sense of things. If you are going through a difficult time and want to find a way out, or you are looking for a different perspective and want to change certain life patterns, this approach might work for you.
Some prefer a more structured approach such as techniques to help with the problem. For example, you might be keen to work on solution-focused strategies such as changing your thoughts and behaviours, personal development, problem solving and goal setting.
You could be struggling with anxiety, depression, or simply feeling ‘low’. Whatever be your preferred approach, I am here to help you with what you are going through and get to where you want to be.
I understand that booking your first counselling appointment can be a daunting experience. Our initial session is an opportunity to talk about what brings you to Counselling and see whether you would like to work together. I offer the initial 30 minute session free of charge if taken online. You may decide to continue face-to-face thereafter. If you decide to have more sessions, we will identify what you might like to work on and decide on a time to meet.
Please feel free to browse through the other sections of this website. You can contact me by filling in the form below or emailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, you can send me a text message asking me to call you back, and I will try to do so as soon as possible: 07423335654
